Reef and Deep Sea Fishing
Your fishing trip begins at Batemans Bay Marina on Beach Road, Batemans Bay, departing from Berth 101. As the boat heads out to the fishing grounds for those early morning risers, the effort is worth it as the sun creeps up and over the horizon with the beautiful Tollgate Islands silhouetted against the promise of a clear crisp sky.
Around half an hour later you are all baited up, wetting line and hoping for the one that won't get away. At Batemans Bay Fishing we don't just stay in the one spot all morning waiting for the fish to come to us. If they're not biting, it's lines up, engines on and off to find another spot. Depending on wind, current and action we'll move around to where the fish are biting.
Morning refreshments are served with a smile in between the crew taking the fish off your hook for you, cleaning them and putting them on ice.
Dolphins are often sighted during our fishing trips and when the season is right, a whale sighting or two is not uncommon either.
Late morning, we wind up for the last time, sit back and enjoy the high speed cruise back to port. Again, depending on the season you might spot a dolphin close by on the return journey or just enjoy the beautiful NSW South Coast coastline as we arrive back at the Batemans Bay Marina.
All catches are cleaned, bagged and iced so all you need do is step off the boat with your catch and set off for home with many a tale to tell and lunch or dinner is in the bag!
